„I´m Edmond”, hat er leise gesagt und dann, noch leiser: „You are my best friend.” Beim Abschied dann ist er mit traurigem Blick zaghaft winkend am Tor gestanden. Es geht in diesem Buch weniger um „Charity“, es geht um das gemeinsame Erleben, um Vertrauen und die dauerhaften menschlichen Beziehungen, die entstanden sind.
